You need to be lightning fast to beat the top teams in Thunder Valley

The last few years, the Joe Gibbs Toyotas along with the Team Penske Fords have been dominant at Bristol Motor Speedway. I have no reason to believe that won’t be the case Saturday night.
If anyone else is going to win, they are going to have to beat those two organizations. This seems to be the case almost everywhere we go these days, with either Gibbs or Penske bringing home the hardware.
Think about this for a second – of our 22 races run so far in 2016, those two organizations, which is a total of six teams, have won 15 of them.
We know Kyle Busch has won there five times, but Joey Logano has won the last two August races at Bristol. As for Kyle, it has actually has been five years since his last win here.
The driver who really seems to be “The Guy” these days at Bristol Motor Speedway is Matt Kenseth. My money would be on either Joey or Matt to come home with another win Saturday night.
Meanwhile, Goodyear is bringing the same tire combination this weekend that they have used here since 2014, but you can’t overlook the x-factor.
Naturally, I am referring to the grinding that they have done on that bottom groove, which is definitely going to be a factor Saturday night.
