Updated standings: How the Chase points look headed into Kansas Speedway

After an adventurous Bank of America 500 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the standings were shuffled big time after the first race of the Contender Round of the Chase for the Sprint Cup.

Front-runner Matt Kenseth and Dale Earnhardt Jr. both had major issues, while a mediocre day for Kyle Busch has put him in a tough spot as well.

Thanks to his dominant victory in Charlotte, Team Penske's Joey Logano has already punched his ticket to the Eliminator Round, which begins at Martinsville Speedway on Nov. 1.

Following next weekend's wild card race at Talladega Superspeedway four of the 12 remaining Chase drivers will be eliminated from title contention. A win at either Kansas this weekend or Talladega the next would automatically secure a spot in the next round.
