Sport Clips to sponsor teammates Denny Hamlin, Carl Edwards

Longtime Joe Gibbs Racing sponsor Sport Clips Haircuts will continue its partnership with the organization in 2015 by serving as the primary sponsor for JGR drivers Denny Hamlin and Carl Edwards in select races, the organization announced Thursday morning.

Hamlin will drive the No. 11 Sport Clips Toyota Camry in two Sprint Cup Series races -- at Auto Club Speedway on March 22 and under the lights at Darlington Raceway on Sept. 6.

Edwards, a newcomer to JGR, will carry Sport Clips colors on his No. 19 Toyota in the July 19 race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway and the Nov. 8 race at Texas Motor Speedway.

The 2015 season will mark the seventh year that Sport Clips has been a JGR sponsor.

"When Denny began driving for Sport Clips, we had a few more than 700 locations open at the time, and we now have more than 1,300 locations in the U.S. and Canada -- a milestone we were proud to reach at the end of 2014," said Gordon Logan, founder and CEO of Sport Clips. "We are pleased to have Denny, and now Carl, along for the ride in 2015. Joe Gibbs Racing and its drivers have been excellent ambassadors for our brand over the years. We look forward to having an exciting and successful race season."

In addition to his two Sprint Cup starts with primary sponsorship from Sport Clips, Hamlin will also campaign the sponsor on his car in the Sept. 5 Xfinity Series race at Darlington Raceway.
