Rondeau fined for rule violation

Pete Rondeau, crew chief for the Furniture Row Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup team, has been penalized for a rule violation last week at Auto Club Speedway.

Rondeau, who works with Regan Smith and the No. 78 team, has been fined $25,000 for improperly attached weight.

The violation occurred during practice March 25.
