Rain holding off, green flag set for 8:08 p.m. ET at Daytona

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 3:22 p.m. ET

Good news! The rain has stopped and track drying is well under way at Daytona International Speedway, site of tonight’s Coke Zero 400 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race.

NASCAR Senior Vice President Jim Cassidy tweeted that he expects a green-flag start time of 8:08 p.m. ET. Given the rain that fell for much of the afternoon, that is indeed an excellent turn of events.

FOXSports.com will provide in-race updates once the race starts.
