Opportunity awaits: Marcos Ambrose eyeing Chase berth at Sonoma

Even with the blunder, Ambrose finished sixth after leading 35 of 110 laps in a JTG Daugherty Racing Toyota. Since finishing 42nd with a transmission failure in his first Sonoma start back in 2008, Ambrose has placed no worse than eighth here and led three of the past five races on the challenging 10-turn layout.
