NASCAR Sprint Cup's Tommy Baldwin Racing will race with J.J. Yeley in the No. 37, effective immediately.

The team has formed an alliance with Max Q Motorsports to field the entry.

Yeley has been driving the No. 49 Robinson-Blakeney Racing entry this season.

“Max Q has been trying to put itself in position get back into the Cup series and be competitive,” Max Q team owner Larry Gunselman said in a news release. “Tommy and I got to talking, and he explained where he (wants) his program to go. He would like to build his program like the Hendrick, RCR and Roush teams by selling cars and engineering to make their program better, and that is something that (I've) been looking to do to get my program to the next level.”

TBR competed with two teams this season in the Cup series. The organization, formed in 2009, also started a NASCAR Nationwide Series team this season, running a partial schedule.

“The only way we are going to get better is to be able to get our product out there more and have different people working on it,” team owner Tommy Baldwin said. “I'm confident that with the group of guys Larry is assembling, along with J. J. behind the wheel, it will benefit both teams.”
