NASCAR issues warnings following infractions at Dover

Paul Menard and the No. 27 Richard Childress Racing team received a written warning after failing NASCAR's Laser Inspection System (LIS) three times during pre-qualifying inspection at Dover International Speedway.

Menard will also lose 15 minutes of practice time during Thursday's first Sprint Cup practice session at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Other teams receiving written warnings for failing LIS twice include the the No 19 team of Carl Edwards (third warning), No. 4 of Kevin Harvick, No. 6 of Trevor Bayne, No. 88 of Jeff Gordon, No. 47 of AJ Allmendinger and No. 46 of Michael Annett.

In the XFINITY Series, the No. 20 of Erik Jones received a written warning after failing pre-race template inspection three times.
