Lucky Ty Dillon fan 'rides shotgun' for Texas race

Updated Mar. 5, 2020 12:28 a.m. ET

NASCAR and social media continue to be a winning combination.

In tonight's Duck Commander 500 at Texas Motor Speedway, Circle Sport–Leavine Family Racing's No. 95 Nexium 24HR Chevrolet and driver Ty Dillon have a guest's name on the car.

The team ran a promotion where fans were asked to show why they are the biggest Dillon fans by posting photos and video on social media using the hashtag #RideWithTy.

The winner, a Twitter follower with the handle @CalebHx24, has his name on roof of Dillon's car tonight. Think of it as a fan riding shotgun.
