Andy Lally, and not Bobby Labonte, will drive the No. 71 Chevrolet for TRG Motorsports in the Sprint Cup race this weekend in New Hampshire.

Labonte confirmed Wednesday morning that he has parted ways with the company despite team owner Kevin Buckler's assertions to the contrary the previous day.

"I want to be in a position to win races and be competitive," Labonte said in a statement Wednesday. "I have worked as hard as possible to give my best at the track so far this season. I'm now looking to move on and get back into a position to win races."

Labonte, the 2000 Cup champion, finished 23rd at Sonoma on Sunday and is 31st in the points standings.

Lally made his Sprint Cup debut at Watkins Glen last year. He qualified 15th and finished 27th. He ran 13 truck races and three Nationwide Series events. His best NASCAR finish was 10th at Watkins Glen in the 2007 Nationwide race.

Lally, 35, has won three Grand-Am Rolex Series titles and also competing in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. Lally is a six-year TRG veteran.
