NASCAR spokesman Ramsey Poston said the car measured "below tolerances" on the left front. The car was not among those taken to the NASCAR Research and Development Center in Concord, N.C.

The height difference likely occurred because of a failed shock, according to a team source.

Busch had an up-and-down day but finished with a strong fifth-place finish.

Any penalties will be announced Tuesday or Wednesday this week.
