Kyle Busch set to make XFINITY Series return at Michigan International Speedway

For the first time since his violent crash in the season-opening race at Daytona International Speedway, on Saturday Kyle Busch will compete in a NASCAR XFINITY Series race, this one at Michigan International Speedway.
Busch suffered a compound fracture of the lower right leg and a midfoot fracture of the left foot when his XFINITY car went head-on into an unprotected concrete wall at Daytona.
After missing the first 11 races of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series season, Busch returned for last month's NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race and has driven in three points races in the top division.
This weekend, though, Busch also will be back behind the wheel of the No. 54 Monster Energy Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota Camry during the Great Clips 250 Benefiting Paralyzed Veterans of America XFINITY race.
In a press release issued by JGR, the team said, "Future scheduled races for Busch in the No. 54 Camry, after the Michigan event, are not yet confirmed."
At the 2-mile Michigan oval, Busch has one race victory, one pole, six top-five and six top-10 finishes over his XFINITY Series career. Saturday's race will be Busch's 298th career start in the XFINITY Series.
Last year, Busch set a track record with a qualifying lap of 193.242mph, a 37.259 second lap to start the Ollie's Bargain Outlet 250 XFINITY event. Busch went on to finish fourth in that race.
