The first crew chief change of the NASCAR offseason came Monday when Chip Ganassi Racing made a move for Jamie McMurray.

Keith Rodden was hired to replace Kevin ''Bono'' Manion on McMurray's No. 1 team.

Rodden is the longtime right-hand man and engineer for Kasey Kahne crew chief Kenny Francis. In Rodden's two seasons as the lead engineer on the No. 5, Kahne won four races and made the Chase for the Sprint Cup championship in both seasons.

Rodden began his career as an engineer for Andy Petree Racing. He also has worked for Evernham Motorsports, Richard Petty Motorsports and Red Bull Racing in similar positions.

McMurray and Manion paired to win three races in 2010, including the Daytona 500 and Brickyard 400. They also won at Talladega this season.
