In the past 61 years of our sport, it has only really been in recent years that we have seen the multi-car teams. Now my definition of multi-car is more than two. Now what had never been done in NASCAR when the checkered flag waved at Homestead was a car owner having the top three finishers in the year-end points.
In today's world of NASCAR, simply getting one car in the top three is so hard. If you don't believe me, go ask Richard Childress or Jack Roush or any of the other team owners. So you can just imagine how tough it is to get two cars there. But to get three of your cars finishing first, second and third for the year is simply unbelievable.
