Full results from Monster Energy Series Practice No. 2 at Phoenix

AVONDALE, Az. -- This just in: Chase Elliott is still fast.
Elliott, the second year driver of the No. 24 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet, led Saturday’s first of two practice rounds at Phoenix Raceway in advance of Sunday’s Camping World 500 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series race (Sunday 3 p.m. ET, FOX).
During the 55-minute session, Elliott had a best lap of 135.977 miles per hour around the 1-mile Phoenix oval. He will start the Camping World 500 from seventh on the grid.
“Sunday is the important day and hopefully we can get it dialed-in for that,” Elliott said after qualifying on Friday, and in practice his car certainly looked dialed in.
Second fast in practice was Camping World 500 pole-sitter Joey Logano, who had a best lap of 135.466 mph in the No. 22 Team Penske Ford. Kyle Larson, Las Vegas winner Martin Truex Jr. and Atlanta winner Brad Keselowski completed the top five.
Early in practice, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. tagged the wall in the No. 17 Roush Fenway Racing Ford.
The final Happy Hour round of practice will take place between 2:30 and 3:20 p.m. ET, with live television coverage on FS2.
Logano will start Sunday’s race on the pole. He will be flanked on the front row by the No. 21 Wood Brothers Racing Ford of Ryan Blaney.
On the inside of Row 2 will be Dale Earnhardt Jr. and the No. 88 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet with the top five starters being completed by Chip Ganassi Racing teammates Kyle Larson and Jamie McMurray.
