Engine issue ends Kyle Busch's day early in GoBowling.com 400

Coming off a strong run one week ago at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Joe Gibbs Racing's Kyle Busch did not even make it to the 25-lap mark of Sunday's GoBowling.com 400 at Pocono Raceway.

Starting from the seventh spot, Busch slowed from the 17th spot on Lap 24 as the cockpit of his No. 18 Toyota began to fill with smoke.

Bringing the car to pit road, Busch radioed his crew, saying, "It's a piston. I know what it is. You guys know what it is. Done."

With smoke coming out of the exhaust pipes, the team looked under the hood, but quickly pushed the car behind the wall for the rest of the day.

"Something between the frame rails doesn't seem to operate correctly right now," Busch said as his crew packed up behind him.
