Yankees Triple-A pitcher Amaury Sanit has been suspended for 50 games for violating the minor league drug program.
Major League Baseball announced Friday that the right-hander tested positive for Mephentermine, a performance-enhancing substance. His suspension is effective immediately.
Sanit, who turns 31 on July 4, is 1-2 with an 8.69 ERA in 12 games for Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.
