Joc Pederson gave it everything he had, including his glove.
The Dodgers center fielder did his best to keep this Mark Reynolds blast in Coors Field, but ultimately came up empty-handed.
In Pederson’s defense, he wasn’t the only one who couldn’t keep the ball in the playing field. Dodgers pitchers served up five homers in the 12-2 loss to the Rockies, including two to Carlos Gonzalez.
Colorado has won 11 of its past 13 games to move over .500 for the first time since mid-May and climb within three games of the second NL wild card.
