Trayce Thompson (Klay's brother) hits first MLB homer, gets silent treatment (VIDEO)

White Sox rookie Trayce Thompson hit his first major-league home run on Tuesday, a feat that every ballplayer always dreams of.
But instead of returning to a jovial dugout filled with cheering teammates, Thompson was given the typical rookie treatment: silence.
The memorable moment came in the fifth inning, off a pitch from Angels starter Hector Santiago. After rounding the bases, Thompson headed into the dugout only to be ignored by his teammates. But that didn't stop him from celebrating.
Watch how it unfolded:
After the fake high-fives, Thompson reached the end of the bench and was mobbed by his prankster teammates.
Thompson, the son of former NBA player Mychal and brother of current Golden State Warriors star Klay, handled the prank like a pro.
"It was funny," Thompson said of the joke.
Here's hoping it was the first of many homers for Thompson.
