The Marlins were greeted in D.C. by an amazing message from the Diamondbacks
The Marlins will end their season in Washington, D.C., this weekend. And after what likely was a somber plane ride, they were greeted by a pretty special message when they arrived at the ballpark.
Heartfelt message the @Dbacks left for us @Marlins on the weight room dry erase board. Thanks guys. #BaseballFamily #Marlins #JDF16FOREVER pic.twitter.com/4KuaIFQTdW

Still reeling from the tragic loss of Jose Fernandez, the Marlins discovered these kinds words in the weight room at Nationals Park. They were left by the Diamondbacks, who wrapped up a four-game series in D.C. on Thursday.
It’s a pretty incredible gesture that probably put some much-needed smiles on the faces of the Marlins’ players and staff members. And it’s a great excuse to watch that amazing Dee Gordon homer a few more times.
