Justin Turner, Alex Guerrero and Andre Ethier have all been productive and had big moments this season which have highlighted the depth of the Dodgers’ bench. Monday night it was Scott Van Slyke’s turn to shine.

In addition to his walk-off home run, Van Slyke also threw out a runner at the plate in the seventh inning to keep the game tied. The 28-year-old is hitting .340 with a pair of home runs and 12 RBIs.

Compared to the other reserves, Van Slyke’s production comes cheap for the Dodgers. While Turner and Guerrero each make in excess of $1 million and Ethier making $18 million, Van Slyke is only making $522,500 this year.
