Rockies third baseman Arenado talks about his gloves
Baseball gloves are an important piece of equipment for fielders, and Nolan Arenado’s is certainly a valuable commodity for the Rockies at third. Purple Row recently spoke to Arenado about his relationship with his gloves throughout the years. Unsurprisingly, he cannot remember a time when he didn’t have a glove.
According to Purple Row, Arenado has had his current glove for four years, but it didn’t become his “gamer” until last season. The glove that he started using sophomore year of high school lasted until he made it to Double-A Tulsa, and it sounds like he probably wanted to continue using it but it just got too worn down. Apparently he has two rules when it comes to other people handling his glove: “don’t throw it” and “don’t put it on your hand.” It probably goes without saying none of his teammates would ever dare do either of those things to the magical tool of the two-time Gold Glover.
