A day after losing a heartbreaking game Tuesday to the Dodgers despite leading by three runs going into the ninth inning, the Rockies showed resilience. They validated comments made by manager Walt Weiss following a team meeting on Wednesday and maybe proved him a little clairvoyant. Per MLB.com, manager Walt Weiss said:

"We've been real resilient, this team. We've bounced back from some of our toughest losses and won the next day. I expect we'll do that again.”

They did indeed do that again with a 7-6 victory on Wednesday despite trailing by two going into the ninth. They say things always even out in baseball, and Wednesday may have been another case of that for the Rockies and Dodgers.
