Report: Marlins getting 'a ton of interest' in Dee Gordon

The Miami Marlins are in a tough spot.
Cheap, controllable assets are like gold in today's game and the Marlins have a few pieces that fit into that category -- Jose Fernandez, Marcell Ozuna, Dee Gordon, to name a few. Still, they're more than just a few pieces away from contending anytime soon.
Should they decide to retool their roster, they could get a hefty haul for Fernandez. Its been reported that the front office isn't happy with his attitude, but it would still be shocking to see him get dealt.
A much more realistic option is flipping Gordon, who is reportedly "receiving a ton of interest" from on the trade market, according to the Boston Globe.
He was acquired prior to last season from the Los Angeles Dodgers in a mega deal that, along with Gordon, sent Dan Haren and Miguel Rojas to Miami for Austin Barnes, Chris Hatcher, Andrew Heaney and Enrique Hernandez.
Trading Gordon, who is under team control through 2018, would certainly require a heavy return, as he was the NL batting champ in 2015, hitting .333 and led all of baseball in base hits (205) and stolen bases (58).
Of course, Miami is no stranger to blockbuster deals, so packaging Gordon with another controllable asset (like Ozuna or Justin Bour) could lead to a bigger return for a club looking to retool under new manager Don Mattingly.
