Kendrick marries LaGrossa in Napa
Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Kyle Kendrick married three-time "Survivor" contestant Stephenie LaGrossa over the weekend in an outdoor wedding in Napa, Calif., People magazine reported Sunday.
The pair said "I do" in front of more than 100 guests on Saturday. The bride wore a dress designed by Priscilla of Boston and the couple's two dogs, Bebe and Champ, served as the flower girl and ring-bearer.
"I never thought there was 'the one,' but now I believe it," LaGrossa told the celebrity magazine about her new husband. "He's what I needed my whole life and I'm so glad I finally found him."
The two met "in Philly one random night out at a bar" in April 2008, they wrote on their website. It is the second marriage for LaGrossa, a Pennsylvania native. She married a longtime boyfriend in July 2006 but divorced in early 2007.
The 30-year-old reality TV star was a contestant on the 10th season of the CBS reality show, "Survivor: Palau," in February 2005, the 11th season of the show, "Survivor: Guatemala — The Maya Empire," in September 2005, and the 20th season of the competition, "Survivor: Heroes vs. Villains," in February 2010.
The 26-year-old right-hander Kendrick was drafted by the Phillies in the seventh round in 2003. In four seasons he has a 35-24 record with a 4.69 E.R.A and 216 strikeouts.
