Clayton Kershaw thanks his adorable offseason training partner
Los Angeles Dodgers lefthander Clayton Kershaw is getting ready to report to spring training.
But he made sure to thank his offseason training partner -- his 1-year-old daughter Cali Ann -- before heading to Arizona.
Just wanted to thank my trainer this offseason for all the hours she worked with me. #thirdlovehandle pic.twitter.com/u5b1UcZeXD

The Dodgers will be leaning even more heavily on Kershaw this season after former co-ace Zack Greinke signed with the NL West rival Arizona Diamondbacks as a free agent in December.
Kershaw led the majors with 301 strikeouts last season, en route to a 16-7 record and 2.13 ERA. But the three-time NL Cy Young Award winner and 2014 NL MVP had to settle for a third-place finish (behind the Cubs' Jake Arrieta, and Greinke) in the 2015 NL Cy Young Award voting.
Perhaps the offseason work with his daughter will give him the extra edge necessary to reclaim the award this season.
However, teammate Brandon McCarthy did share this hilarious realization:
@ClaytonKersh22 no you goon, you're left-handed. If you've worked the wrong arm all off season we're in trouble
