Toronto's Tom Cheek, Oakland's Bill King and Montreal's Jacques Doucet have made the list of finalists for baseball broadcasting's Ford Frick Award.

The Hall of Fame said Tuesday that Cheek received 11,661 votes, King 4,758 and Doucet 2,714.

They join seven broadcasters selected by a Hall of Fame research committee: Rene Cardenas, Dizzy Dean, Ned Martin, Tim McCarver, Graham McNamee, Eric Nadel and Dave Van Horne.

Fifteen living Frick Award winners and five historian/columnists will vote. The winner will be announced Dec. 7 during the winter meetings in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., and he will be honored during the Hall inductions in July.
