Yenser relishes competition on KU's offensive line

Before Zach Yenser was brought aboard KU's refurbished coaching staff, David Beaty signed a trio of mid-year transfers that he thinks have made all the difference in spring practice.

"If we don't have those guys we're just a little thin up front," Yenser told JayhawkSlant.com. "Going into spring practice that is just part of it. Those guys have done an awesome job coming into a new system. They have bonded and gotten to know the other players."

Yenser, who is also Kansas' run game coordinator, has enjoyed having a deep line not just for the sake of security but also for the intrasquad competition it's created.

"It is always nice to have competition in the room. Guys know that nobody has a spot locked up," he said.
