William & Mary rallies to first CAA win, 24-17 over Delaware

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. (AP) Steve Cluley helped rally his team to score three touchdowns in the fourth quarter and William & Mary notched its first Colonial Athletic Conference win, beating Delaware 24-17 on Saturday.

Cluley had 204 yards passing and ran for a score for the Tribe (3-4, 1-3). Kendall Anderson ran for 115 yards and a touchdown and Aaron Swinton had a 63-yard interception return for a score.

With his team trailing 14-3 early in the fourth, Cluley took William & Mary 80 yards and Anderson scored the Tribe's first touchdown to narrow the gap to 14-10. After a successful onside kick, Cluley capped a 54-yard drive with a short touchdown run that put the Tribe on top 17-14 with 4:12 left.

Swinton picked off Delaware's Joe Walker on the Blue Hens' (2-4, 0-3) ensuing drive and went 63 yards for another touchdown.

Walker had 112 yards passing, 109 rushing and ran for a score.
