Week after getting KO'd, Armstrong will start for Nebraska

Updated Mar. 5, 2020 2:12 a.m. ET

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) Tommy Armstrong Jr. will start at quarterback for No. 21 Nebraska against Minnesota, one week after getting knocked unconscious against Ohio State.

Coach Mike Riley announced on his pregame radio show that Armstrong would start Saturday night.

The fourth-year starter went through a concussion protocol this week and practiced Thursday.

His head hit the turf hard when he was tackled along the Ohio State sideline by safety Malik Hooker in the second quarter of last week's 62-3 loss in Columbus, Ohio. He was taken to a hospital by ambulance and was back with his teammates on the sideline less than an hour later.
