WATCH: Ezekiel Elliott making hurdling a habit at Ohio State

They took the track out of Ohio Stadium almost 20 years ago, but its spirit lives on thanks to Ezekiel Elliott.

For the second week in a row, the Buckeye running back made fans gasp when he hurdled a would-be tackler on a run.

Last week it was Northern Illinois. This time it came on a second-quarter run against Western Michigan.

The Buckeyes running back took an option pitch from quarterback Cardale Jones and raced toward the sideline, where he was in the sights of Bronco safety Rontavious Atkins but leapt over him to get about five more yards.

The run converted a third-and-3 in Bronco territory, and the Buckeyes later scored their second touchdown of the afternoon on the drive.

And that first hurdle of the day went so well, Elliott decided to try it again in the third quarter on an 11-yard run.

The junior from Missouri finished with 124 yards on 16 carries. He also caught three passes for 29 yards as the top-ranked Buckeyes beat the Broncos 38-12 to improve to 4-0.
