VIDEO: Elite pass rusher Tim Williams announces his return for 2016
Junior linebacker Tim Williams, one of Alabama's most effective pass rushers, announced Tuesday he would be returning for his senior season. Williams ranked second on the Crimson Tide with 8.5 sacks on the season and really shined on third-and-long situations. Alabama finished the regular season ranked No. 5 in the nation in opponent third-down conversions, holding opponents to only a 27.92 successful rate.
The Crimson Tide sack specialist cited his love of the college game and the successful return of a number of fellow teammates in his decision to come back:

Williams' decision appears to be a wise one, as the junior only had 17 tackles this season and has only 25 in his college career. With several of Alabama's best defensive players likely finishing up their college careers, Williams should have a much larger role in the Tide's defense in 2016. A regular season of consistent contributions in addition to his outstanding pass rushing skills should only improve his stock in the eyes of NFL talent evaluators.
