UT Martin outlasts a late surge from Austin Peay 45-31

MARTIN, Tenn. (AP) Troy Cook passed for 253 yards with three first-half touchdowns and Tennessee Martin rolled past Austin Peay 45-31 on Saturday.
Cook went 17 of 21 while Holcombe went 8 of 13 for 127 yards for UT Martin. Ben Axline grabbed eight catches for 198 yards and a TD - the most individual receiving yards for the Skyhawks (3-3, 2-1 Ohio Valley) in Division I play.
The Governors (0-5, 0-4) scored 21 points in the final 10 minutes - two on passes from Timarious Mitchell to Kyran Moore.
The game saw 17 penalties for 155 yards (11 for 106 for Austin Peay) and three late-game ejections. UT Martin's Kahlid Hagens and Greg McKillion were ousted for targeting and fighting, respectively, and Austin Peay's Prince Momodu for targeting.
Kendall Morris rushed for 103 yards, starting the 21-point fourth quarter with a 33-yard TD - his first and the longest scoring run of the season for Austin Peay.
