After catching a touchdown against Rice last weekend, star Texas A&M freshman receiver Speedy Noil left the game with a knee injury.

According to a report by 247 Sports, Noil injured his left MCL and will miss 3-5 weeks.

On Tuesday, head coach Kevin Sumlin said reports of that nature are "completely false." He did say Noil "probably won't play this Saturday."

Sumlin declined to elaborate on Noil's injury.

Noil has been quite productive in his first three college games, ranking third on the team with 12 catches for 197 yards and a touchdown and also returning kicks.

In his absence, Edward Pope, who has 10 catches for 167 yards and two TDs on the year, figures to get more playing time.
