Sacred Heart beats Stony Brook 38-10, gets 3 scores on TOs

STONY BROOK, N.Y. (AP) RJ Noel passed for one touchdown and ran for two more as Sacred Heart scored four times after halftime to defeat Stony Brook 38-10 on Saturday night and maintain a perfect record.

Noel broke a halftime tie with a TD from the 1 midway through the third quarter then guided the Pioneers (4-0) on a 95-yard scoring drive capped with a 1-yard TD from Jay Croom.

The backbreaker came in the fourth quarter when Sacred Heart scored 14 points in 13 seconds - a 14-yard pass from Noel to Moses Webb with 12:59 remaining, followed by an interception returned 44 yards for a TD by Kevin Barry and 12:46 on the clock.

Sacred Heart scored 17 points off turnovers against Stony Brook (2-2), which entered ranked 20th in the FCS poll.

The Seawolves' Joe Carbone passed for 97 yards and Stacey Bedell gained 62 on 14 carries.
