Report: USC athletic director Haden hospitalized twice in past two days

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 7:45 p.m. ET

USC athletic director Pat Haden missed an annual school event Saturday evening and has been hospitalized two times in the past two days, according to a report in the Los Angeles Times, citing "a person with knowledge of the situation."

Haden, 61, was absent from the on-campus "Salute to Troy" football kickoff event, the Times says. A source told the paper that Haden's hospitalization was because he wasn't feeling well.

The Times says an official with the school's athletic department declined to comment on the situation.

Haden, a former NFL player and a Trojans alum, became the university's AD in 2010. He's also on the new College Football Playoff selection panel.
