Report: Texas tells NCAA agent purchased meals for two Longhorns

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 6:11 p.m. ET

Two Texas football players reportedly received free meals from an agent, which is an NCAA violation and could put the players' eligibility in question.

According to a story by the Austin American-Statesman, the names of the players weren't disclosed in documents obtained through an open records request.

It's unclear when the meals were purchased, but Texas reported the incident to the NCAA on June 6.

Texas spokesman Nick Voinis told the Statesman the case is "being processed through the NCAA through regular procedures" and declined further comment.
