Report: Former Texas coach Mack Brown's house destroyed by fire

Updated Mar. 4, 2020 7:41 p.m. ET

A fire burned down the North Carolina home of former Texas coach Mack Brown last weekend, according to a report.

Brown reportedly had just moved much of his Longhorns memorabilia to that home from his Austin, Texas, residence and told an Austin newspaper all that's left are the chimneys.

The Linville, N.C., residence was a vacation home for Brown while he was coaching, and since retiring he had spent much of his time in the mountain home.
