A look at the most recent news links concerning Penn State football.

The Penn State football program is riding high these days and enjoying a lot of success. After a 2-2 start, the Nittany Lions are preparing for a trip to Pasadena to face USC in the Rose Bowl. While there will be plenty of coverage of that game, the most recent news focuses on recruiting.

Head coach James Franklin had a good weekend, with two 2017 early enrollees officially signing to play in Happy Valley. On top of that, one of the top recruits in the nation, cornerback Lamont Wade, committed to the Nittany Lions Saturday night.

In other news, there was a lot that came out of Rose Bowl Media Day Friday. Franklin discussed trying to keep his talented assistants for longterm success. Elsewhere, tight end Mike Gesicki put together a fantastic season in 2016 and silenced many of his critics.
