Owning the night: Miles and Saban nearly unbeatable in the evening

Published Nov. 3, 2015 3:53 p.m. ET

Something's got to give on Saturday night in Tuscaloosa.

Statistically speaking, both LSU head coach Les Miles and Alabama head coach Nick Saban are virtually unbeatable in games starting at 7:00 p.m. ET or later.

Miles is an FBS-best 72-10 in such contests. This equates to a startling 87.8 winning-percentage. Saban isn't too shabby either, going 31-5 during his time at Alabama. Slightly less, this record registers at 86.1-percent.

With this expected bloodbath of a game slated to begin at 8:00 p.m. ET, one of these incredibly capable coaches will suffer a small blemish on what has been a ridiculous record in these sort of games.
