OSU DE charged with public intoxication after allegedly stealing Jimmy John's sign

Oklahoma State defensive end Cole Walterscheid has been arrested and charged with public intoxication after officers allegedly found him asleep on top of a stolen Jimmy John's sign, according to the OSU student newspaper the O'Colly.

According to an affidavit, an OSU police officer found Walterscheid asleep in a grassy area in Stillwater just before 2 a.m. on Sunday, about 12 hours after OSU's 31–6 win over TCU on Saturday afternoon. Walterscheid appeared to be passed out atop the sign used on top of Jimmy Johns delivery vehicles. 

Upon waking up, Walterscheid reportedly told the officer he was on his way home and got the car sign from work, but replied "No, that's not from Jimmy John's" when asked if he worked there. He later told the officer he took the sign from Jimmy John's.

Jimmie Johns is not pressing charges against Walterscheid, but did comment on his predicament on Twitter. 

Walterscheid will appear in court on Wednesday for the public intoxication charge and could be fined $100 or spend no more than 30 days in jail.

Walterscheid, a 21-year-old redshirt sophomore, has 20 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss and two sacks in 11 starts this season.
