When Mike Elko and Clark Lea joined the coaching staff, Notre Dame shifted it’s recruiting focus to a new direction, defensively.
The Irish began looking for candidates for the rover position and they had been in contact with a great one from Virginia since they were at Wake Forest.
Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah is very impressive on film. He’s listed as 6’2, 188 pounds on his Hudl film but some say he’s up to 200 pounds.

Owusu-Koramoah was committed to the University of Virginia. Soon after he received an offer from Notre Dame, he decommitted. He then took an official visit to Michigan State followed by a visit to Notre Dame.
Michigan State looked to be the leader for a while but after his official visit to Notre Dame, there began to be talk that Notre Dame was going to be his choice.
Look for Jeremiah to see the field as a freshman on special teams. With Drue Tranquill likely penciled in at Rover, he probably won’t see the field on defense this season on defense but could be a force on Special Teams.
I personally love this kid’s film and I think that he’s an outstanding option for the rover position.
