North Dakota State sets three future home games

Updated Mar. 5, 2020 12:08 a.m. ET

(STATS) - While FCS power North Dakota State has struggled to find FBS opponents, the Bison continue to add home games to upcoming schedules.

The Missouri Valley Football Conference program, which won five straight FCS national titles from 2011-15, will play North Alabama on Sept. 22, 2018, UC Davis on Sept. 21, 2019, and Drake on Sept. 12, 2020, at the Fargodome.

North Alabama will be transitioning to the FCS from the Division II level in 2018. North Dakota State won the only previous meeting in the 1985 Palm Bowl, representing the D-II national title game.

The Bison are 6-4 against UC Davis, winning the most recent meeting in 2007, and 2-0 against Drake, winning in 1955 and '62.

The additions completed North Dakota State's 12-game schedule in 2019 and left one non-conference opening in 2018 and 2020. The Bison's next FBS opponent is Oregon on Sept. 5, 2020.
