COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) Missouri defensive end Charles Harris says he will skip his senior season and declare himself eligible for the NFL draft.

The 6-foot-3, 260-pound Harris made his announcement Thursday, less than a week after Missouri closed out a season in which he tallied 61 tackles - a career high and the most this year by a Southeastern Conference lineman.

The fourth-year junior from Kansas City, Missouri, also had a career-best nine sacks this season and 18 over his career with the Tigers.

Harris was a second-team All-SEC selection last season, with seven sacks among his 56 tackles. Harris also forced two fumbles each of the past two seasons.
