OXFORD, Miss. (AP) Mississippi quarterback Chad Kelly has decided to return to school for his senior season.

The 6-foot-2 Kelly - who is the nephew of Pro Football Hall of Famer Jim Kelly - was considering jumping to the NFL after leading the Rebels to a 10-3 record this season, including a Sugar Bowl victory over Oklahoma State. He threw for 4,042 yards, 31 touchdowns and 13 interceptions.

Kelly released a statement on Monday through his family's public relations firm that said he will stay in Oxford one more season. Kelly said in the statement, ''I realize that there's still a lot of learning and growing that I can do with this team.''

Kelly, a Buffalo, New York native, transferred to Ole Miss after one season in junior college.
