Good news Gamecock fans: Your quarterback of the future is coming to Columbia.

South Carolina quarterback commitment Brandon McIlwain is arguably the crown jewel of the current 2016 class. Not only is he an exceptional football player, but he's also a highly-regarded baseball prospect -- to the point he may be a high-round pick in the 2016 MLB Draft.

With a decision to be made, McIlwain took to Twitter to announce that he will bypass the draft altogether -- in order to play both baseball and football at South Carolina.

It's a massive development for Will Muschamp and his staff, especially considering McIlwain's ability as a quarterback.

He should help to give the Gamecocks stability at the position for years to come.
