TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) Isaac Harker threw two touchdowns and ran for a third to lead Indiana State to a 41-25 win over Butler in a season opener for both teams Saturday.

Harker was 21 of 35 for 315 yards for the Sycamores. His rushing touchdown gave Indiana State a 14-0 lead with 1:34 left in the first quarter.

Defensive back Tsali Lough harassed Butler's Malcolm Weaver throughout the game, recovering a Weaver fumble at the goal line and returning it 100 yards for Indiana State's first score with 5:05 to go in the first quarter. After the ensuing kickoff, he intercepted Weaver on first down, setting up Harker's running score. In the third quarter, Lough sacked Weaver at the Butler 38 and forced a fumble, leading to a Roland Genesy touchdown run two plays later that gave the Sycamores a 31-6 edge.

Weaver finished with 18-of-30 passing for 202 yards for the Bulldogs.
