Illinois State adds Northern Arizona to 2017 schedule

(STATS) - The start of a two-year series with Northern Arizona has completed Illinois State's 2017 schedule which was announced Tuesday.

Illinois State will travel to Flagstaff for a first-ever meeting on Oct. 7, 2017. NAU will return the favor with a visit to Hancock Stadium on Sept. 21, 2019.

The Redbirds will play five home games next year, opening on Sept. 2 against Butler of the Pioneer Football League and versus Missouri Valley Football Conference members Indiana State (Sept. 30), South Dakota (Oct. 21), Western Illinois (Nov. 4) and North Dakota State (Nov. 18).
