Hills, defense lift Delaware over Albany (NY) 33-17

ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) Wes Hills rushed for 122 yards and two touchdowns, Nasir Adderley returned an interception for a score and Delaware beat Albany (NY) 33-17 on Saturday.

Hills had 16 carries and scored on runs of 44 and 6 yards as the Blue Hens (4-5, 2-4 Colonial) trailed 17-14 at halftime.

Delaware's defense held the Great Danes (5-4, 2-4) to 88 yards rushing, and Bilal Nichols sacked Albany quarterback Neven Sussman for a safety in the fourth quarter. Adderley's 22-yard interception return in the third quarter put the Blue Hens up 28-17.

Hills' second score was set up by Troy Reeder, who forced a fumble by Albany's Kjaye Rodgers that was recovered by Tenny Adewusi.

Delaware's Thomas Jefferson scored on a 1-yard run and Frank Raggo kicked a 32-yard field goal.

Sussman was 6 of 13 for 148 yards passing with a 6-yard TD strike to Nic Ketter. Elijah Ibitokun-Hanks scored on a 33-yard run and Ethan Stark kicked a 36-yard field goal.
