Georgia approves $30 million indoor facility

The last team in the SEC without an indoor practice facility is finally getting one, as the Athletic Association Board of Directors at Georgia approved a plan to build one for the school. The price tag for the facility is a cool $30 million.
“I applaud the administration and the leadership of both (UGA administration) and the athletic department on working tirelessly to get this thing right,” said board member Bill Young, according to the Athens Banner Herald.
The dimensions of the practice facility: 80 yards wide, 140 yards long, 65 feet inside and 75 feet outside.
Construction will commence as soon as the football season comes to an end in Athens and the structure is said to be useable for the next 50 to 100 years.
